Your questions. Clear answers.
Useful answers to help prepare your project and your first inquiry.
Which areas do you serve?
AmpliVolt Électrique accepts inquiries for Montréal, Laval and nearby communities, including the North Shore, South Shore and West Island. Share your city and postal code so availability and travel can be confirmed for your project.
How do I get a quote?
Describe the work in our form or call 514-594-2049. Include your building type, city and preferred timing. Depending on the project, a site visit may be needed before the scope and price can be established.
Can I contact you in French or English?
Yes. Browse the website and submit your inquiry in either language. Include your preferred language in your message.
What if my electrical problem is urgent?
Do not rely on a contact form in a dangerous situation. If there is immediate danger, move away and contact emergency services. Call to check service availability; this website does not guarantee an immediate response.
Does submitting a form book an appointment?
No. It sends a contact request. Availability, a visit, the scope of work and costs must be agreed separately before any work begins.
How do I choose between troubleshooting and a renovation?
Troubleshooting examines an observed problem, such as equipment that no longer works normally. A renovation starts with a change in use or layout. Describe the symptom or the result you want. The two needs can overlap, but an assessment helps define the appropriate scope.
Can I include several jobs in one inquiry?
Yes. Describe all known needs and indicate your priorities. A panel, an EV charger and a renovation may share capacity or routing considerations. Understanding the full picture helps frame a discussion about stages, even if you decide to carry out the work at different times.
What can affect the price of electrical work?
Scope, equipment, access, cable routes, the existing installation and coordination with other work can all affect the price. Opening or restoring surfaces also needs to be accounted for. A dependable quotation therefore depends on the actual characteristics of your project.
Should I buy equipment before getting in touch?
Discussing the project before committing to a purchase can be useful. A proposed model and specification sheet help identify requirements, but compatibility with your installation still needs review. If equipment is already purchased, share the reference and planned delivery arrangements.
Who needs to approve work in a condo or rented space?
Identify the owner, manager or condominium syndicate involved and describe the affected areas. A change within a private unit may also involve a technical room, parking space or shared installation. Responsibilities and approvals need to be clarified for the particular building and project.
How can I tell whether my panel needs replacement?
Adding equipment does not automatically mean a replacement is needed. Available capacity, configuration and condition require review. Describe current and future uses so the discussion can focus on actual requirements rather than relying only on the number of visible spaces in the panel.
